Unreal 4 Engine Inspires New Content Creations From Gamers Aboard

FPS, shooter, run and gun; these phrases elicit different images from gamers around the world. When imagining yourself playing a first person shooter, one of the first images that comes to mind is Unreal Tournament. UT99 was the start of an amazing game series that was pioneered by Epic Games. Throughout the years we have been delighted with multiple incarnations of the title from UT2003 all the way until UT3 and now the current in-progress regen; Unreal Tournament (UT4).

Unreal Tournament 4 will be running on Unreal Engine 4, a new stunning game development tool from Epic. Unreal Engine 4 sticks to the motto, “By game developers, for game developers.” UE4 is packed with features and is stunning, Unreal Tournament 4 will highlight the expansive and beautiful world that UE4 is sure to provide. UE4 is also easy to access and use; many developers use Epic's game engine to run their own games from consoles, PC's, and even mobile devices. Unreal Engine 4 is gorgeous and I cannot wait to see how wonderful Unreal Tournament looks utilizing UE4.

Epic Games has always been at the helm of innovation when it comes to their various titles; and Unreal Tournament is no different. The gaming giants have chosen to give the fans an ultimate choice in their game by keeping it open source and Epic fully supports the idea that this is a game for all of us. From the beginning stages of creation all the way until completion, we the players will have input throughout development. It’s a beautiful idea and Unreal Engine 4 will be the perfect backbone that a slick new UT will need. I really have loved the open concept that Epic has decided to go down. I think it will make an amazingly perfect game that blends varied styles and truly is able to give the gamer an option to have a customized experience. I am very excited to see Epic back in the studio working tirelessly to bring us a fantastic new title before our eyes.

The game itself will also be completely free, not free to play or with loopholes, mod and map creators will be able to sell their maps/mods and Epic will reap some of the rewards. For instance, if you create a mod and wish to sell it; you will be able to do so and we the gamers can buy these new additions if we so choose. Epic as well as the developer of the modification will be compensated by our purchase. The tireless hours that many modders have put in will be given a reward for their work and I am happy to see that they will be given credit and given compensation from us; the gamers. All in all, it is a solid idea that is truly a visionary idea in the gaming industry and I hope we see many wonderful and amazing things to come from it. With this ideal jumping forward, I believe we will see many new games and concepts come out for other titles from Epic and perhaps even other development groups.
